RAS Industry Activities Board Global Robotics Industry Funding Report: An Introduction [Industry Activities]

Robotics has become a hot topic. New forms of robots, from mobile robots to humanoids, are reaching new market areas and making headlines. Investment into robotics was almost nonexistent 10–15 y ago but has reached billions of dollars from 2015 onward. Investment, primarily in the form of venture capital, is a leading indicator into where robotics is going, followed by company acquisitions as consolidation occurs.
