Every summer, Clarivate Analytics releases its annual Journal Citation Reports, which provides essential data for evaluating the impact and influence of scholarly journals. As a quantitative measure of the frequency with which the “average article” in a journal has been cited in a particular year, the impact factor of a journal is calculated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items published in that journal during the previous two years. IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine (RAM) has received its new 2024 Impact Factor of 7.1, an increase from 6.1 last year. Although the quality of a journal (or magazine) cannot be defined by any single metric, our magazine continues to grow in popularity.
