Building robots that look and behave like humans, capable of operating in environments created and shared by humans, has been a long-standing quest. Today, commercially viable humanoid robots include Digit made by Agility, which is seen in Amazon warehouses recycling empty totes. Atlas made by Boston Dynamics can pick up objects and place them on shelves and can also dance and do backflips. Figure can interact with humans with speech-to-speech reasoning and can grasp apples and place dishes.
